The Brooks Sprout is an emerger that sits low on the water, with the abdomen and shuck trailing underwater and the hackle stuck in the film. The foam post remains visible on the surface. This is an effective pattern for picky trout during a hatch. Tip: Coat only the hackle and post with floatant and rub some saliva on the shuck to help it sink and show the correct profile.
