Syntace has been producing high-end carbon handlebars in its German production facilities for years. True to the German-American architect Mies van der Rohe, Syntace, too, believes that form follows function. To this end, the carbon fibers used and the method in which the weave is laid follow the stress points and critical cross sections of the bars. The Vector Carbon High20 is designed for the riders who are looking for a wide, low-rise bar in order to get more control out of their steeds -- without sacrificing strength. Additionally, an in-molded titanium lattice at the stem clamp area protects the handlebar from crushing and slips of the bar. The bar is so strong it has been VR-3 approved. This is the world's toughest test for handlebars and stems. Known as the "Red Monster," this machine is able to test bars up to 800mm wide with no rider weight or usage restrictions. This allows Syntace to test the bars to total failure. Therefore, there is no weight restriction placed on the bars. You'll notice more control, especially on downhills, with the Vector bars. The Vector 20s feature, as the names implies, a 20mm rise that places it squarely between the Vector 35 and the shallower Vector 10. The Syntace Vector Carbon High20 Bars are 780mm wide. They weigh either 244 grams for the 8-degree or 251 grams for the 12-degree sweep options.
