Crafted by Marcin Slysz, a renowned Polish custom knifemaker, the original Techno folding knife set a high standard for strength and utility in a compact design. Building on this legacy, the Techno 2 enhances and refines the original concept with improved functionality and ease of maintenance. Its blade, finished with a stonewash treatment, is crafted from 3.5mm-thick (0.138 inch) CTS XHP stainless steel. Featuring a high saber grind, it maintains a robust spine while ensuring optimal edge geometry for smooth cutting performance with minimal friction. The blade's refined near-sheepfoot profile enhances its utility for precise tasks, complemented by textured jimping on the thumb ramp for enhanced grip and control. The handle of the Techno 2 is meticulously crafted from two solid titanium scales made from 6AL-4V titanium, showcasing an attractive stonewashed matte finish. Both scales are designed with machined recesses to accommodate the knife's deep-pocket wire clip, which can be easily reversed for convenient left or right-side tip-up carry. The reverse scale serves as the foundation for the knife's robust Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism, ensuring secure blade deployment during use while allowing for effortless one-handed closure. Green-anodized titanium standoffs connect the handle halves, contributing to the knife's open-backed design that reduces overall weight and facilitates straightforward maintenance. For users who enjoy personalizing their gear with lanyd or fobs, the Techno 2 features a generously sized lanyd hole in its handle, adding to its versatility and appeal.
