Sierra Designs set out to develop a tent that will handle all your winter and summer multi-day missions with its Convert 3 4-Season Tent, now updated for even more versatility. Its breathable ripstop construction offers excellent, all-season protection that gives you a dry place to warm up and sleep soundly. And despite its bomber construction, this tent remains fairly lightweight so you won't feel too weighed down while you climb. The tent's aluminum poles are featherlight to keep the weight off your back while you hike, and the locking pole tips prevent the poles from bending and collapsing when the winds start to howl. The floor consists of a durable polyester that Sierra Designs fully taped for extra waterproof protection. The unique design of the Convert 3 puts a breathable double wall canopy at the tops and sides of the tent, and the fabric is engineered to prevent dust and spindrift from blowing in whether you're camped on a high-elevation snowfield or dusty desert floor. For winter camping, a removable vestibule provides ample storage for all your gear, while a second vestibule, now included with the 2018 model, can be attached at the other side of the tent for even more storage space. When summer camping, the vestibule can be left back at the truck to shave almost a whole pound from the total weight of the tent, and the fly has also been updated with this year's model to be fully removable for staying cool on warm summer nights. An external pitch design makes set up easy in even the most foul weather and two doors make for easy ins and outs throughout the night.
