Most floral prints are happy, sun-filled affairs with exuberant flowers; and sure we like those too."NATURE MORTE" takes its inspiration from the tradition of the "Vanitas" still life. The Vanitas depicts the transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death. Sounds like a bit of a bummer, granted, but also a treasure trove of beautiful art and literature to be found there over the last few millennia. Composed of extreme closeups of flowers cut out from Dutch old master paintings, the flowers have a stark, rich beauty emerging from a black background, which pairs well with a variety of colors and looks.
