The SA-X Tripods now feature a newly designed apex with a rosette connector for SA-X rifle heads as well as a 3/8" mounting screw to attach any standard 3/8" head. The rosette connector provides an extremely stable connection between the tripod's apex and the base of the head. The angle stop design has also been improved from the standard pull tab to a knurled bar which allows the user to adjust the angles with only one hand as opposed to two. The Leofoto MK-40X Rifle Ball Head With Lever-Release Arca Clamp was designed specifically to be used on an SA-X tripod, but it features both the SA-X rosette connection as well as a standard 3/8" mounting socket. The head features an elongated knob for easy locking and unlocking of the ball, accompanied by a smaller tension control knob. The elongated knob is the perfect length to be used with a rifle clamping mount to not interfere with the large mount. The clamp is Arca compatible.
