Do you have a kLite externally routed wire loom that you'd like to convert to an internally routed solution? This kit allows you to convert your existing kLite externally routed wire loom for use on your internally routed fork. Designed around the current model Salsa(R) Firestarter(TM) fork, this kit will allow you to execute an internally routed solution that looks OEM. kLite products have been designed as an externally routed system, primarily because troubleshooting in the back country is so much easier if you can see the entire wire run and assess each part of it for trouble. That's a bulletproof design philosophy, but speaking from personal experience, it's really difficult to ignore a feature on your bike that was put there just for this purpose. We've designed this kit around the current model Salsa(R) Firestarter(TM) fork, which includes an internally wired channel that runs from the inner drive side fork leg up to the front of the fork, just above the fork crown. It will also work on other forks with similar configurations. The kit includes a dynamo hub connection (your choice of SON or Shimano / Shutter Precision interfaces) that is connected to a 27" run of UV proof wire that fits into the internal routing channel from the bottom of the fork. Once you've routed it through to the top, you use the other pieces of the kit to solder and seal connections on to your existing wire loom and to the top of the dynamo run so that you can quickly and easily disconnect the dynamo run when you need to remove your fork.The kit requires some basic wire soldering skills, solder, a soldering iron, a wire cutter / stripper, and a heat gun or hair dryer to activate the (included) heat shrink connections that seal the setup from water and debris. The whole process takes less than 15 minutes, with most of the time being "measure twice, cut once" planning.
