Beretta's M9A1 22 .22lr is an exact copy of the original 9mm version, complete with the same appearance, same controls, same type of sights, and the same grips. The only real difference is the type of ammunition. Just like the original, the M9A1 22 has interchangeable backstraps, a safety/decocking switch, and a MIL-STD 1913 picatinny rail for the addition of lights or lasers. Due to these similarities between the M9A1 22 and the original, this pistol makes a great low cost alternative for training and a day at the range.
